Pay Rate: Up to $34.20/hour
Work Environment & Schedule
- Standard schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM PST
- May provide backfill support for EDI Analyst coverage, requiring flexibility to work 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST when needed.
- Hybrid work arrangement:
- 2-3 days onsite at the Irvine campus during initial training
- Reduced to 1-2 days onsite per week thereafter based on business requireme
Position Summary
The Associate Analyst, Business supports Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations by monitoring transaction activity, troubleshooting data and integration issues, and assisting with implementation and testing efforts. This role works closely with customers, vendors, logistics providers, internal business teams, IT partners, and EDI Analysts to ensure the accurate and timely exchange of critical business documents.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with strong analytical skills and an interest in EDI, supply chain operations, data integration, and business systems support. The position is part of the Customer Service organization and plays a key role in maintaining business continuity and transaction accuracy across multiple trading partners.
Key Responsibilities
EDI Operations & Support
- Monitor daily EDI transaction activity and proactively identify failures, exceptions, and data discrepancies.
- Investigate and troubleshoot EDI-related issues involving purchase orders, invoices, advance ship notices (ASNs), inventory transactions, and other business documents.
- Support day-to-day production operations and provide backup coverage for EDI Analysts as needed.
- Track, document, and communicate incidents, resolutions, enhancement requests, and project updates.
Trading Partner Management
- Assist with the onboarding, setup, and maintenance of EDI trading partner relationships and connections.
- Collaborate with external customers, suppliers, transportation providers, and third-party partners to resolve transaction and integration issues.
- Ensure compliance with trading partner requirements and established business processes.
Testing & Implementation
- Support configuration, testing, validation, and deployment of EDI maps and specifications.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and implementation activities.
- Validate transaction accuracy and document testing results.
Data Analysis & Process Improvement
- Review transaction logs and business data to identify patterns, trends, and recurring issues.
- Analyze transaction metrics and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and data quality.
- Assist in developing and maintaining process documentation, support procedures, mapping specifications, and training materials.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 0-2 years of experience supporting EDI operations, business systems, supply chain functions, customer operations, data analysis, or related business processes.
- Internship, academic project, or professional experience involving EDI, ERP systems, data integrations, or business process analysis is highly desirable.

- 850 - Purchase Order
- 855 - Purchase Order Acknowledgment
- 856 - Advance Ship Notice (ASN)
- 810 - Invoice
- 820 - Payment Remittance
- 846 - Inventory Advice
Technology & Systems
- Understanding of ANSI X12, EDIFACT, or similar EDI standards.
- Familiarity with EDI platforms, managed EDI services, integration tools, and ticketing systems.
- Basic understanding of:
- Data mapping concepts
- XML, CSV, and flat-file formats
- ERP systems
- System integrations
- Supply chain and order management processes
- Logistics and customer operations workflows
